As with all of our products, we take pride in not only the quality, but how we raise the animal.  Commercial pork is raised in confined spaces on concrete, fed heavy rations of grain, oftentimes animal byproducts, synthetic growth promoters and are supplemented regularly with antibiotics to maintain health.  We don't believe in this.  CottonStone Farms hogs are raised outdoors in spacious pens with healthy diets that do not include antibiotics, synthetic growth promoters or animal byproducts.  We also finish our hogs uniquely to provide an outstanding taste and texture on your plate. 

What makes our pork so great?

• No synthetic growth promoters

• No antibiotics 

• Supplemented on natural grains - no fish meal, bone meal or animal byproducts are used.  

• Diet - in addition to supplementing with natural grains, our pork is raised on forage, fruit, vegetables, acorns and walnuts to provide a high quality flavor that you will never find in a supermarket.

How much meat do I get?  

• • Depending on cut choices, your finished pork will be between 145 and 160 LBS for a whole, and 72 - 80 LBS for a half. 

How much freezer space do I need?

• • Whole:  7-8 cubic feet.

  • Half:  3-4 cubic feet 

Can I choose my cuts?

• • CottonStone Farms and our partnered butchers offer a wide selection of custom cuts.  Before your butcher date, you will be emailed an easy and informative cut choice form that allows you to customize your finished pork.  Once your answers are submitted we will work directly with our butchers to ensure your choices are met in full. 

How do I get my finished meat?

• • CottonStone Farms will deliver it directly to your doorstep.  

What is the payment process?   

• • While we keep our pork affordable, we also understand that grocery budgets are tight.  To make the financial side less burdensome, we offer 3 payment plans, accepting payment methods of check, cash or PayPal.
